Appointments

I want to make an appointment, but I don't know what my hair needs! What service do I book for?

All you need to tell us is you're booking a "first time appointment" and we figure it all out for you! During your appointment your hair will be deep conditioned (all services come with a complimentary deep conditioning treatment, or you may choose a steam hydrating service for an additional $25). After your hair has been deep conditioned, is free of product, is wet, and in its natural state, your stylists will be able to determine: curl pattern, shrinkage, breakage, straight pieces, thermal damage, etc. Your curly hair expert will then have a consultation with you explaining the services that are best for your specific hair type. They will also hand select awesome styling products that meet the needs of your hair. During your service (cut/color/style- whatever service you decide to do), your hair architect will teach you how to use the products chosen for you, will teach you how to do your hair at home, and will explain to you how to maintain your hair until your next wash. It doesn't matter if you like to flaunt your twists and coils, you're just now transitioning from straight to naturally curly, you'd like to transform your kinks to curls, or if you like to keep your curlies straight- we got you covered!

How do I book an appointment?

All of our appointments (first appointment and repeat appointments!) require a credit card number on file to hold your appointment. We will not charge your card unless you do not show up to your appointment or if you do not give us at least a 24-hour notice to cancel or reschedule. If you do not show up to your appointment or do not give us at least a 24 hour notice to cancel or reschedule, your card will be charged for $25 and it will be applied towards a "no-show" fee which will go directly to your stylist to pay for the time they blocked out for your appointment. Of course, we will always call you to remind you of your appointment in advance, and you do have 24 hours to cancel or reschedule.

What if I can't make it to my appointment?

Any appointment that needs to be rescheduled, require a minimum of 24 hour notice as a courtesy to your stylist and to other clients who may want to take your appointment time. If you do not give a minimum of 24 hour notice to reschedule, you will be charged a $25 fee.

What happens to the $25 that was charged?

The $25 goes straight to the stylist (they were not given enough time to fill the appointment time.

What if I don't feel comfortable using my credit card over the phone?

No problem! Simply stop by our salon and book your appointment in person. If you prefer to not leave your credit card information, you may pay a $25 deposit (in cash, credit card, or check) which will be applied towards your scheduled service. This $25 payment will be forfeited if you do not show up for your appointment or if you do not give us a minimum of 24 hours to cancel/reschedule an appointment.

Can my friends/family wait in your salon during my appointment?

Our waiting area is very small, we only have space to accommodate clients receiving services. Due to limited seating, we kindly ask that you come alone to your appointment.

Can I bring my child to my appointment appointment?

For everyone's safety, we kindly request that our guests make childcare arrangement for all children. Your child may visit our salon only if they have an appointment.

Do I need to do anything to prepare for my hair appointment?

Yes! Please remove any twists, coils, braids and weaves prior to your appointment.

Do I need to do anything to my hair to prepare for a Deva cut?

Yes! Definitely don't shampoo your hair the day of your appointment, and if you can avoid shampooing for a few days prior to your appointment, even better! Do what you normally do for 2nd day hair….. style your hair as usual and do not pull your hair back. Your Deva specialist needs to see your curls in their natural state.

I have an appointment for 3D-Lash extensions. Can I wear eye make-up to my appointment?

No! You shouldn't wear any eye make-up and avoid using eye make-up remover on the day of your appointment. Most make-up removers are oil based and anything oily on your eyes can interfere with the adhesion of your individual 3D-Lashes.
